The apparent scale of the two storey house has been minimised by splitting the form into two elements; a long brick wall and a copper box. These materials and the position of the house on the street edge are characteristic of other small buildings within the surrounding Conservation Area. Overlooking is avoided through the use of carefully positioned windows, and by rooflights bringing light deep into the plan where no windows are permitted.
