Denham Campus

A new educational facility and series of modern pavillions in a sensitive modernist landscape.

Challenge
Bosch UK approached us with a vision to re-locate their  facilities from their existing HQ building to the neighbouring site, a Grade II listed modernist landscape, to create a new educational campus. They wished to re-use the existing 70's glass office building for their HQ and introduce a series of new buildings in to the landscape incorporating a variety of educational and public buildings, avoiding the removal of any trees in the mature landscape and without significant changes to the existing ground levels.

Solution
A series of sensitive interventions were proposed respecting the listed landscape. The project involved:

- the creation of an overall masterplan for the new educational campus

- refurbishment of the existing 4-storey office building to create collaborative office space

- design of a new 2-storey training centre and energy centre

- design of a series of pavilions in the landscape providing café, teaching and demonstration space
