Andrew Dawes

Andrew Dawes

Director

Andrew joined Reform Architects in 2016, bringing experience in delivering award-winning projects to his leadership of the studio and oversight of its projects, and is now the sole director.

Prior to joining Reform, Andrew worked with Herman Hertzberger and Claus en Kaan in Holland, on a number of housing, school and bridge projects across Europe, before setting up his own practice, both in the Netherlands and in the UK.

For a period of over 15 years Andrew combined his own practice with studio teaching - in Delft and at London South Bank University – focussing on innovative and sustainable approaches to housing design. Andrew has extended this research through Reform's work in developing a critical approach to housing design and in particular to adaptation of existing fabric.

Andrew is a Built Environment Expert for the Design Council and a member of the Southwark Design Review Panel. He has written for the Architectural Review and Architects Journal, alongside presenting at architectural conferences in the UK and internationally. He lives in South London with his daughter, two rabbits and over 25 acers.
